- Funnily enough, the Japanese name transcripted as Jīro, meaning 'second son', is pronounced similar to to Giro, as is well known. I think it's overdoing it to have a Japanese Grande Partenza. Raise the status of the Tour of Japan instead. The Giro is the Giro, the Tour is the Tour and the Vuelta is the Vuelta.
