Another step has been taken in the recovery of
Dario Cataldo. After a dramatic crash at the Volta a Catalunya, where the
Trek - Segafredo fell at high speed, he suffered several fractures and had to stay several weeks in medical care as a result.
The
incident took place on the opening day of the race. The Italian veteran fractured a collarbone, ribs, vertebrae, acetabulum, greater trochanter and endured a pneumothorax as well. It was a list of very severe injuries which required serious medical attention. The 38-year old had in the meantime returned to social media to update on his improving situation, and has now returned to home in Italy.
