Groupama-FDJ had Arnaud Démare lined up for
Paris-Roubaix but lacking the form, the Frenchman and the team decided it wasn't meant to be this year. Without Valentin Madouas who prepares for the Ardennes, it will be up to last year's third place
Stefan Küng to lead the charge.
The Swiss rider turned into a classics specialist last year as he rode to a very consistent and strong spring, and he's not been too far from the same level this year. After finishing sixth at both E3 Saxo Classic and Tour of Flanders, Küng takes on Roubaix which should suit his powerhouse specialty even more. The flat cobbles will be ideal for him to use his raw power to make the difference, whilst he is a very dangerous rider when it comes to attacks.
