Victories (World Tour): 20 (4)
Top riders in UCI rankings: Rui Costa (38th)
Rating - 5.06
Rúben Silva (CyclingUpToDate): 4. 4 World Tour wins, although none are overly memorable. Rui Costa's comeback was certainly the main story of the season. The veteran was an unexpected signing but one that worked perfectly as he began and started the season very well with five wins in his tally. A team that didn't perform as in 2022, but a 14th spot in the UCI rankings made it acceptable for it's budget. A few World Tour wins, 20 triumphs in total... Although they didn't thrive, none of it's leaders had a disappointing season - although Louis Meintjes' crashing out of Tour de France was a tough hit. Two sprint leaders each with it's leadout, several classics riders and puncheurs make for a consistent string of points throughout the season.
Kieran Wood (CyclingUpToDate): 6. 20 wins for the season, including a showpiece triumph through Rui Costa on stage 15 of the Vuelta a Espana, it was a more than competitive campaign for the French-based team in 2023. Adding stage wins from the Criterium du Dauphine, the Tour de Suisse and the Renewi Tour also Intermarché were consistently there or thereabouts.
Ondřej Zhasil (CyclingUpToDate): 3.5. While Rui Costa and Gerben Thijssen carried the team's flag in 2023, large part of the team was suffocated by injuries. Vuelta stage win is a mission accomplished in a way, but since their classics season was a failure, I don't think there can be much satisfaction about the past season.
Juan Larra (CiclismoAlDia): 6. A very solid season from a team that was probably expected much less and that started the year very strong with Rui Costa, Kobe Goossens and Gerben Thijssen performing at a high level. Despite the weak year of Biniam Girmay, who only managed 2 victories, the team has been able to perform at a level above what was expected with Rui Costa winning at La Vuelta.
Jorge Borreguero (CiclismoAlDia): 6. Considering its possibilities, Intermarché's season can be considered approved. Rui Costa is the team's standout, with wins such as the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and stage 15 of the Vuelta a España.
Victor Gonzalez (CiclismoAlDia): 4. According to my taste, it has been a lackluster season for Intermarché-Circus-Wanty. Rui Costa and Gerben Thijssen have carried the majority of the team's burden on their shoulders, but not much from the rest.
Filipe Pereira (CiclismoAtual): 4. Intermarché-Circus-Wanty were far from their 2022 level, mainly because of the team's reliance on Biniam Girmay who couldn't deliver as much as he did in 2022. Rui Costa won 5 races as did Gerben Thijssen with the latter showing he could be a good bet for the team as far as sprints are concerned. However, despite some wins, Intermarché was a bit discrete in 2023 and there is room for improvement next year.
Carlos Silva (CiclismoAtual): 7.5. Very good two first months of the year by Rui costa, several wins along the season and 1 GT win in la Vuelta. Louis Meintjes fall´s in Tour was disappointing for me...
Ivan Silva (CiclismoAtual): 4.5. Decent Pro Tour campaign but in terms of World Tour fell a bit short on their expectations. Highlight of the season goes to former world champion Rui Costa's win at Vuelta a España.
