Chris Froome will be at the Tour de France. After a roller-coaster season, the four-time winner of the race has been confirmed as a member of the Israel - Premier Tech team as he's set for an ambitious race.
“It’s awesome to be starting my 10th Tour de France with Israel – Premier Tech. I’ve worked exceptionally hard this year and I’m looking forward to giving it my all," Froome said in a press release. His confirmation in the Tour de France has been announced by Israel - Premier Tech after Froome showed improvement on his condition over the last few months.
His role will be open. As the team wasn't clear on general classification ambitions, Froome may have a stage-chasing goal. His style of racing is much more suited to the GC, however despite the improvement it's unlikely to see the Briton amongst the best in the race. Nevertheless the team sets a high bar after a turnaround in the month of June, and Froome is part of the plan to succeed at the race.
"We’ve got a great group of riders in the lineup and we can’t wait for the battle to begin in Copenhagen," he concluded. This will be Froome's tenth Tour de France, and without a doubt one that is as important for Froome as some of those he's discussed in the past.
