The
Bretagne Classic will be a long day in the saddle and one well suited to the puncheurs and classics riders.
Biniam Girmay will be on the hunt of his best form and will have suiting terrain to perform, as he leads
Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux.
Girmay, who was won a stage at the Giro d'Italia and Gent-Wevelgem this year, has proven to be very capable of going over the small ascents very well. Although relatively inexperienced, his performances in the classics have shown that he's capable of winning in this type of races, and he will have the support of a very experienced team - where
Andrea Pasqualon will be a wildcard and a rider with a very similar skillset.
Loïc Vliegen will be a dangerous rider for the hilly terrain, whilst
Hugo Page is another good card in case the race comes back to a reduced sprint. Intermarché will have veterans
Dimitri Claeys and
Tom Devriendt protecting the team throughout the day, with
Baptiste Planckaert completing the lineup to further support the team's fast men.
Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux for Bretagne Classic: Biniam Girmay, Dimitri Claeys, Tom Devriendt, Hugo Page, Andrea Pasqualon, Baptiste Planckaert and Loïc Vliegen.
