Movistar Team's Einer Rubio secured himself the first Grand Tour stage win of his career in a dramatic battle with Thibaut Pinot and Jefferson Alexander Cepeda on stage 13 of the Giro d'Italia.
With Pinot in an attacking mood, the Frenchman made repeated moved with Cepeda also trying his luck on a couple of occasions. Rubio, who had spent the whole climb seemingly hanging onto the coattails of the other two, only made one attack the whole climb and boy did he make it count.
