Video | Bauke Mollema gets close-call with Magpie during Australian training ride

Since the riders have arrived in Australia for the World Championships, many have talked about the "visits" from some of the local birds, the Magpies. Several riders have reported close encounters, and Bauke Mollema is now on that list aswell.

Out on a training rider with several of his teammates from the Netherlands, Mollema was able to capture a Magpie flying towards him and hitting his helmet before flying away. Many have found the encounters amusing, as part of the riding culture in the region.
