With all the hype being created around Seixas, I hope that he can handle the pressure and weight of expectations - both physical and mental.

He just about edged out Juan Ayuso on stage 2 of the Algarvia, and had no chance in the sprint on stage 5, Ayuso was superior and Seixas had no chance whatsoever. Ayuso is more punchy but is not considered suited to the Mur de Huy. Seixas outsprinted Florian Lipowitz on the fifth stage of Itzulia but Lipo can't sprint anyway so that is a low bar. They went over a manhole cover on the turn. That was the reason on the crash.

If they want him to get 8m per year they have to spend like 20m per year. There's social security and taxes in France the team has to pay

This is 17 riders. A quick search shows 15 have died in training rides in the same time. Which basically makes my point. The chance of a career ending injury in training vs racing is about the same. So the”risk” of racing Roubaix exists. But it is equal to training. Go ahead an argue more because that’s all you like to do as the sage of all things cycling.
