After reaching an agreement with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, however, I felt as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.”

Having now spent time bonding with his new teammates in Visma's winter training camp, Campenaerts is optimistic about the future. "Everything went great,” Campenaerts reveals happily of the camp in Calpe, Spain. “Everything is organized in the best possible way and I already know several of my new teammates. For example, Wout Van Aert and Tiesj Benoot, who also lives near me and with whom I have been a great friend for some time.”

“My first goal is to be selected for the Tour de France and then help Jonas Vingegaard win it. I know it won’t be easy. Pogacar is very strong. But I strongly believe it is possible,” Campenaerts continues, setting out his goals for the coming campaign, insisting that the Dane can reclaim the Maillot Jaune in 2025.

Campenaerts also explains part of his how his individual season is set to develop. “My first race of the season will be the Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne on March 2, I still have a lot of time to get there in the best possible shape,” the Belgian concludes.
