Uno-X Pro Cycling Team have made moves in the market, and their main target in
Alexander Kristoff has been signed on a three-year deal. The team is looking to benefit from his presence in more than one way.
“Alexander is the best Norwegian rider at the moment," Uno-X DS Gino Van Oudenhove told Wielerflits. "He not only brings a lot of experience to the team, but he will normally give us a lot of points next year. He will teach the teammates a lot, but he can also teach managers and coaches something to grow even more.”
“I know Kristoff very well, but he also knows everyone in the team. Norwegian cycling is a family. Two years ago we talked to Alexander laughing about our goals. In the meantime, he has seen that it is serious," he revealed.
Not only is the team looking to benefit from the Norwegian's - who has won four races this year quality - but also from his experience and expertize from long years in the World Tour. "He knows that there is a good structure in place. He also wants to win himself, but in the biggest classics we will be happy with some nice places of honour," Oudenhove said.
“Important in the fact that the past has shown that a team automatically improves if you attract a great rider. The arrival of Alexander Kristoff may be enough for guys like Tiller or Skaarseth to take that last step," he concluded.
