UAE Team Emirates crowned UCI World Tour Best Team ahead of Jumbo-Visma

The 2023 World Tour season has come to a close. Despite winning all 3 Grand Tours, Jumbo-Visma could not take overall victory in the UCI points race though, during the year no team has been able to better UAE Team Emirates.

With the UCI Team Rankings having reset at the start of the year, ahead of the current three-year block, UAE Team Emirates managed to tally a very impressive total of 30,958.18, giving them a narrow lead over the all-conquering Jumbo-Visma.

As you might expect, much of UAE Team Emirates' success is owed to their leader, Tadej Pogacar. The Slovenian had an incredible season despite missing out on Tour de France success, including victories at Il Lombardia, Paris-Nice, the Tour of Flanders, Fleche Wallone and the Amstel Gold Race among other wins.

Teammates Adam Yates, Joao Almeida, Marc Hirschi, Davide Formolo and Juan Ayuso, among others, have also chipped in with victories and points, helping to ensure UAE Team Emirates' overall victory.
