"It will be all about the details if I want to beat Tarling or Ganna in the future" - Remco Evenepoel realises ITT wins may be challenging in coming year

He may be the individual time-trial world champion, but Remco Evenepoel is by no means the single dominant force against the clock in the current peloton.

Realistically, the INEOS Grenadiers duo of Filippo Ganna and the current European Champion, 19-year-old Joshua Tarling are the biggest challengers to Evenepoel in the discipline. Tarling actually beating Evenepoel to take victory at the esteemed Chrono des Nations just last week.

"It will be all about the details if I want to beat Tarling or Ganna in the future," Evenepoel has analysed following that close second to the Welsh teenager at the Chrono des Nations. "They are the guys with the real power. I will have to work hard this winter to take another step forward."
