Tour de France | Enric Mas and Matteo Jorgenson lead Movistar's charge for success at Tour de France

Movistar Team have revealed their lineup for the Tour de France this morning, the Spanish team is heading into France with the goal of winning stages and the overall classification with Enric Mas.

Mas has ridden to sixth spot at Tirreno-Adriatico and fifth at Itzulia Basque Country. Last year he has thrived late in the year riding to second at the Vuelta a Espana and Il Lombardia, he will hope to have his best form once again at the Tour where he'll have many mountainous days to take advantage of his qualities. He has just completed the Criterium du Dauphiné in 17th spot, not the best of performances only weeks away from the Tour as he was ill.

Movistar have several riders capable of supporting him in the mountains, but in reality it is a team guided towards stage wins as even in his best form Movistar would likely not be working frequently at the head of the peloton. Matteo Jorgenson, Ruben Guerreiro and Antonio Pedrero will all be contenders to win stages in the mountains, the team also features Gorka Izagirre and Gregor Mühlberger who ride strongly over the terrain.

Every single rider in Movistar's lineup can ride over mountains, well fitting in what is perhaps the most mountainous Tour in many years. Nelson Oliveira will be road captain and the main domestique for Mas in the flat stages, whilst Alex Aranburu should be present in the fight for wins in the hilly sprints and breakaways on other hilly days.

Movistar Team for Tour de France:

Enric Mas, Matteo Jorgenson, Nelson Oliveira, Antonio Pedrero, Ruben Guerreiro, Gregor Mühlberger, Gorka Izagirre and Alex Aranburu.
