Team BikeExchange - Jayco are out on the hunt and have confirmed the signing of two young Australian riders who will be representing the team in the coming two season:
Blake Quick and
Rudy Porter, both of which currently race with Trinity Racing.
Quick - with an appropriate name - is the current Australian under-23 champion and is a rider more suited to the flat and sprint-style stages whilst Porter is a stage-racer and natural climber, having a fourth place at the Alpes Isère Tour and a second place at the Course de la Paix to show for in terms of GC results. The team recently announced the
renewal of Simon Yates and
that of Michael Matthews, guaranteeing high quality through which he will be able to from.
Quick has said in the team's press release: "It’s been a really big goal for a long time to turn professional at the top level and I’m super excited to join Team BikeExchange-Jayco, the only Australian WorldTour team. I have big dreams and I couldn’t think of a better place for me to start my professional road career or with better people to chase those dreams..."
As for Porter, who will have a similar role within the team, has shared aswell his satisfaction: "...It’s a really exciting time and I am extremely proud to be part of the new generation of this team where I’m sure we will achieve great things as a group. I can’t wait to get started and learn from some of the best in the sport to continue my growth as a rider..."
