Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team are looking to bolster their mountain lineup with eyes on the future for Remco Evenepoel. Jan Hirt had been rumoured as a strong possibility to join the Belgian team, and it is said there is an agreement already.
The report comes from Gazzetta dello Sport of claim Hirt's move to Quick-Step "can be considered a done deal". At 31 years of age and with years of experience as a high-level domestique at Astana, the Czech rider can be a strong fit for the block that is likely to support Remco Evenepoel over the coming years, with his top performances coming this year at an highly motivated Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux.

Hirt won the queen stage and the overall classification earlier this year at the Tour of Oman signaling a return to good form, but it was at the Giro d'Italia that he left his mark, finishing in sixth place in the final classification after an incredibly strong final week which included a stage win into Aprica.
He's set to race the upcoming Vuelta a España in the coming months where he will have another chance to show his climbing prowess in the high mountains.
