Oier Lazkano wins second stage of Tour de Wallonie

Movistar rider Oier Lazkano has won the second stage of Tour de Wallonie. Loïc Vliegen finished second.
Lazkano was part of breakaway along with Victor Campenaerts (Lotto Soudal), Gianni Vermeersch (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Edward Theuns (Trek-Segafredo), Ivo Oliveira (UAE Emirates), and Ben Swift (INEOS Grenadiers). They were able to create a gap of four minutes from the peloton.
The breakaway rider soon dropped off Vermeersch, Swift was next, and soon it was only Campenaerts and Lazkano in the lead.
Van Avermaet, Cian Uijtdebroeks and Vanhoucke were able to catch up to Lazkano 20 kilometer before the finish line. The group created a gap of one minute. The peloton caught up with the group 10 kilometers before the finish line.
Lazkano rode with the peloton for 5 kilometers, then attacked and managed to create a gap of 40 seconds which he was able to maintain till the finish line. Loic Vliegen tried to counter Lazkano but remained unsuccessful and finished second. Jesús Herrada finished third.
