Sonny Colbrelli: "The perfect final for me is 20/30 riders in a sprint"

Bahrain - Victorious is starting Omloop Het Nieuwsblad today with high ambitions despite seeing it's leader Sonny Colbrelli start the season in Belgium. Although lacking the race rhythm, the Italian is relaxed ahead of the race, and has an ideal scenario in which he should be in in the fight for the win.
"It's super nice this presentation, all the people my fans, super happy to start my season in Belgium. It's also difficult because after Paris-Roubaix it changed my life. I'm ready, I work intensely in these months at altitude. I don't know where is my condition but for sure today we try to win the race," he said before the start of the race. He is set to lead the team alongside Matej Mohoric.
Colbrelli is starting his season today at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad after a long off-season. He's done two training camps in Gran Canaria throughout the winter and is eyeing a full cobbled classics campaign this spring. It starts today as the peloton heads towards Ninove: "Today for me is difficult because of my condition of the first day, but for me the favourite riders for today are van Aert, Stuyven, Pidcock... But a lot of riders start today in Omloop."

- I don’t call the writers here journalists, they are at best paid posters, no more knowledgable than many of us. I certainly don’t agree with everything they say or portray but I do understand they have to provoke to make their hitherto business model sustainable. And as it isn’t possible to discuss with them, it’s more interesting, rewarding and instructive to pick points to discuss with people willing to engage. I choose and have my own reasons for positive of negative opinions on riders and engage when someone disagrees on those, not interested in engaging on other reasons. What I agree with or don’t is pretty irrelevant though, I think you’ll agree JV gets his fair share of lifestyle criticism (also here) so why should TP be exempt?
