Preview. After the women's race, the men also get to race in Drenthe. The Profronde van Drenthe takes place on the 12th of March and sees the riders on the same roads, in one of the many spring classics.
The race features four sectors early on with 8.7 kilometers of cobbles, and a second one that has another four sectors with 4.9 kilometers of cobbles. Early on this will cause absolute chaos in the race.
The riders then move onto a circuit which includes the VAM-berg, which will be climbed four times and is cobbled. The race then features some more distance then the women's event, the final 68 kilometers are flat, but the wind will always be a danger.
