Morgado showed his colours as a junior becoming one of the world's best winning an impressive amount of races in the Portuguese circuit but also winning significantly at international level. He was double national champion and second in the junior World Championships. Both he and winner Emil Herzog were signed to
Hagens Berman Axeon, a one-year move where he's been adapting to under-23 level racing already with a few wins including the Tour of Rhodes.
An all-rounder, his true specialty is yet to be discovered but he follows almost the exact steps of Almeida who he will be teaming up. “Morgado is a huge talent. He has a lot of quality and is a rider who can have a bright future in cycling," team manager Mauro Gianetti said. "We want to see him get the best out of himself and I hope we’ll see him hit his stride here together with us at UAE.”
