Neilson Powless takes final win of the season at Japan Cup

Neilson Powless' form really came through at the end of the season and after taking a solo win at Gran Piemonte, the EF Education-EasyPost rider made the trip to Japan and won one of the final races of the season at the Japan Cup.

It was a race that, as usual, saw a strong group form over the many laps of the hilly circuit around Utsonomiya. We had five riders go up the road featuring Powless, Matej Mohoric, Michael Woods and Soudal - Quick-Step duo Mauri Vansevenant and Ilan van Wilder. At the end of the race it came down to a sprint where Powless was the fastest, beating van Wilder and Mohoric.
