Lorena Wiebes doubles up at RideLondon Classique 2024 after another expert leadout from Lotte Kopecky

Similarly to the opening day, stage 2 of the 2024 has also gone to Team SD Worx - Protime's Lorena Wiebes with another comfortable sprint win.

With no riders attacking and forming a breakaway, a full peloton entered the final 50km packed together. Despite a number of accelerations over the next kilometres, the elastic didn't fully snap for any of the moves. As such, the peloton were still all together as they took on the final ascent of Little Baddow with just over 10km to go.

Due to the repeated attacks though, it was a reduced bunch that entered the finale. In the end, it was a sprint that decided the day. Lotte Kopecky was on the front again and when the world champion fired Lorena Wiebes to the line there was no stopping the Team SD Worx - Protime star who eased to the win ahead of Charlotte Kool.
