The
Jumbo-Visma cycling team is already one of the best in the world, and it is currently busing securing the next generation of riders. The team has signed youngster
Jorgen Nordhagen until 2027. After joining the team in 2024, the Norwegian will move on to the main squad in 2025.
Nordhagen is very happy and excited to meet his teammates. "Here, I get the time and space to grow as a person, and I can become a pro. This has always been my dream, and that dream will come true within a few years. I am very much looking forward to it. Because I have already decided to go to Jumbo-Visma after my first season as a junior, I can continue to develop quietly and focus on my sporting goals."
He continues, "I think the team and I fit well together. Based on my first impressions, I think the team and I have the same attitude. It's also nice to meet my compatriots Tobias Foss, Per Strand Hagens and Johannes Staune-Mittet. I have heard positive things about the team from them.”
Robbert de Groot, the Head of Development at Jumbo Visma, was one who gave the final nod for the youngster. He believes "the fact that we are embarking on such a journey, with such a young boy, is pretty special." He is also impressed with the maturity and dedication Nordhagen has shown."We see exceptional talent in Jorgen. He is a tremendously motivated boy who is looking for a training program that he feels will make him better. The fact that he already knows where his future lies allows him to concentrate on training, racing and developing," said Groot.
