Jakub Mareczko sprints to victory in fourth stage of Tour de Langkawi

Jakub Mareczko has won the fourth stage of the Tour de Langkawi. He was best in the final sprint and crossed the finish line first to secure the victory. Its his third victory of the season.

The breakaway included Ricardo Zurita, Jambaljamts Sainbayar and Ryuki Uga. The trio took the lead of 3 minutes and 5 seconds in the starting kilometres. Uga couldn’t keep up with the other two riders and joined the peloton.

Zurita and Sainbayar put in an impressive performance, but they couldn’t stop the peloton and were caught 10 kilometres before the finish line. A chaotic sprint ensued as no team managed to position its riders. Craig Wiggins and a few other riders crashed with 500 meters to go. Jakub Mareczko was best in the sprint and took the victory. German rider Rüdiger Selig took second place, while Eduard-Michael Grosu finished third.
