With the abandon of Alekandr Vlasov, Jakob Fuglsang has become the new leader of the Tour de Suisse and will be starting stage 6 as the yellow jersey in the race.

One of Fuglsang's key lieutenants for the mountains Sebastian Berwick pulled out of the race as he tested positive for Covid. His roommate Reto Hollenstein was also removed from the race as a precaution. The team is now down to five riders and in a vulnerable position into the mountains.
