Great day in Croatia for Caja Rural-Seguros RGA thanks to the victory of Orluis Aular in the sprint at Ozalj. The Venezuelan pulled out all the stops to beat his rivals and become the new leader of the overall standings with tomorrow's final stage remaining in Zagreb. It is the fifth victory for Aular and the fifteenth for the team this season.
"I am very happy with the work of the entire team, they have done a great stage. We tried to break the race at the climb because we had a good feeling and in the end we led a group of about thirty riders, although we later regrouped because there was a long way to go until the finish line. From there, the team has controlled perfectly together with Uno-X and DSM," Aular explains.
"In the final stretch I had good legs and in the last corner I found myself behind Kristoff's wheel and I launched my sprint. I was able to get the victory and the lead, so I am very happy for both me and the team, since I think their work could've been seen on television," the Venezuelan concludes.
