“It was a wrong decision to go so early. I felt good, but that was my mistake of the day," Pogacar reflects honestly. "But at least I was able to attack this year. The previous two times it was a DNF or I couldn't follow. So overall it was a good day.”
Those aforementioned upcoming two races,
Tre Valli Varesine (Tuesday, October 3) and
Il Lombardia (Saturday, October 7), saw Pogacar bounce back from disappointment at the Giro dell'Emilia to end his season with two wins last season. Could history be about to repeat itself?
