"He can raise his arms in the Tour de France" - TotalEnergies retain confidence in Peter Sagan

After a brilliant career that has had no shortage of high points, in 2023, Peter Sagan has had something of a lacklustre year. Nevertheless, TotalEnergies remain fully confident in their star as their general manager, Jean-René Bernaudeau reveals.

"Peter Sagan had a good 4 Jours de Dunkerque," Bernaudeau explains to Cyclism'Actu. "He regained some confidence. Knowing that he is full of talent and that he wants to please us, we do believe that he can raise his arms in the Tour de France."

The 33-year-old is a 12-time stage winner at the Tour de France and has won 7 points classification, Green Jersey's. Now in the final year of his career on the road however, Sagan is yet to taste victory so far in 2023. Something he'll looking to change.
