Fernando Gaviria's main leadout man Albert Torres back to competition after injury

The signing of Fernando Gaviria is one of the most innovative in the history of Movistar Team. Eusebio Unzué's structure had never had a world-class sprinter in its ranks and in these first months of the 2023 season they have been working on the Colombian's leadout.

Thus, as Gonzalo Serrano revealed in an interview, the man of confidence of the sprinter is Albert Torres. And it is not surprising. The Balearic rider is a sensational track rider and is a very fast man, perfect to be the leadout of a quality sprinter like Gaviria. The Colombian will be racing the Tour de Romandie soon, but throughout the year will have higher ambitions in other races.

The Spaniard suffered a crash during the Belgian Classic Brugge-De Panne. He suffered a broken collarbone and had to undergo surgery and has been out for three weeks before returning to training. Torres is expected to be part of the team supporting Fernando Gaviria in the next Giro d'Italia.
