He will have the support, or perhaps tactical advantage due to the presence of a strong team which includes Milano-Sanremo winner
Matej Mohoric, Giro di Sicilia winner
Damiano Caruso, alongside
Mikel Landa,
Wout Poels and
Jack Haig. A climber-stacked team, which should be one of - if not the - most aggressive teams when the riders arrive at the decisive section of the race.
As to how the race will be decided, Teuns has a clear idea. "La Roche aux Faucons will be decisive. Whether I have to arrive alone? Preferably of course. Although I have already proven that I still have a punch after a difficult and long race. Hopefully I will have that on Sunday," he said.
Teuns has mentioned that his recent win at Flèche Wallone was the biggest in his career: "Why I think it is the best victory of my career? My two victories in the Tour came after a breakaway. That was not the case this time. I defeated the world's top, they also marked that race with red in the agenda." Only time will tell, however it wouldn't come as a big surprise if the Belgian was able to add another high-level win this Sunday.
