Caleb Ewan is still missing something in 2023 and the Lotto Dstny rider hopes to find that something at Tour de France. With just one victory this year (Van Merksteijn Fences Classic (1.1)) and a plethora of runner-up finishes, Ewan is certainly hungry for more and French grand tour seeks a perfect opportunity to turn the tides around.
The 28-year old reflected on the first part of the season for Velo. "I knew I was fine and I was where I wanted to be, but I couldn't win. If I continue to train and work hard, I know that at some point the situation will change. Good times will come."
"I feel good on the bike and my shape is good. The victory a few weeks ago confirmed that everything is going in the right direction. I'm sure that by the time the Tour starts I'll be in great condition and ready to win," he continues.

"When the Yellow Jersey is within reach for sprinters it's much more stressful, because on the first day you have to be very concentrated right away. There's already a lot of stress when you go to the Tour and the added stress of the first yellow jersey could be a bit too much," Ewan concludes.
