As Arnaud De Lie continues to prove why he is one of the hottest prospects in the cycling world, his Lotto Dstny teammate Brent van Moer has gushing in his praise.
Speaking to In de Leiderstrui, van Moer described why De Lie deserves every inch of the hype currently surrounding him. "He's a super motivated and super fun guy. We're having a lot of fun. He radiates with motivation and wants to win everything," he says. "A leader like that reflects on the whole team. I think we should continue as we are now. Then we will show some nice things."
After helping De Lie to second at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and seventh at Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne, van Moer revealed how he believes if it hadn't been for a bit of bad luck the weekend could have gone even better. "In the end, you never know. If Florian was a little better, we would be in an ideal situation. Then he is with Van Baarle and De Lie is behind it and can keep his legs still. It's always a bit like if. It should all work out. That was a bit of the bad luck we had yesterday. In the end, we were very happy with Arnaud's result."

"I mainly rode the Omloop het Nieuwsblad in the service of Arnaud," he continues. "That, of course, also somewhat undermines my chances of achieving a result myself. But in the end that's nice, because you know that if you ride for someone like that, results will follow."
