After another successful season, at 39 years of age
Annemiek van Vleuten is showing no signs of slowing down as she has recovered from her injuries of Paris-Roubaix and eyes the
Tour de France Femmes alongside a set of high quality races.
Although not directly comparable, a big step has been made this season in providing a bigger calendar with more quality racing for the women's peloton which includes a return of a major stage-race in France right after the men's Tour is complete, with eigth days of racing that will match the toughness of the Giro Rosa.
The Giro Rosa will be another of the goals Van Vleuten has for 2022, alongside the
Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta and the World Championships set to take place in Wollongong, Australia this year.
The Dutch veteran is also eyeing a successful spring where she is set to defend her titles at the Tour des Flandres and Dwaars door Vlaanderen, and her season begins at the Volta Comunitat Valenciana Fémines this thursday.
