The Gravel
World Championships are growing exponentially in the last few years and this Saturday, the women's field featured some of the absolute best! After 8 world championships titles in cyclocross and 3 on the road; at 37 years of age
Marianne Vos has become World Champion in the gravel discipline.
The race in Leuven, Belgium, showcased some of the very best pros from several disciplines for an enormous spectacle. Marianne Vos and
Lotte Kopecky were the strongest on the day and built a strong gap over the rest of the field; and in the final sprint the Dutchwoman beat the reigning road race World Champion.
Lorena Wiebes finished third followed by Puck Pieterse; with the likes of Riejanne Markus, Emma Norsgaard and Lucinda Brand also featuring in the Top10.
If Demi wasn’t so stupid this would have been Vos’s result last week to. A Dutch world championship. Lotte is never faster than her.
Not so much stupid but selfish !
This just shows how physically different the roadies are to the gravel racers. The Gravel racers must be protected just like the other disciplines based on participation in races
