Zoe Backstedt has taken a very impressive victory at Hexia Cross Gullegem, taking the win despite a being outnumbered by a trio of Crelan-Corendon competitors.
Defending champion Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado did not have the same luck this time around, the Dutchwoman well off the pace before stepping off the bike mid-race.
At the front of the race however, Zoe Backstedt was battling with Crelan-Corendon trio Marion Norbert Riberolle, Manon Bakker and Inge van der Heijden. After Riberolle crashed hard, Backstedt took a very impressive victory.
