Wout van Aert solos to victory in X2O Trofee Koksijde

Wout van Aert emerged victorious in the X2O Trofee Koksijde . During the fourth lap, he was able to establish a significant lead and ultimately crossed the finish line with little competition, securing his sixth win of the season.

Toon Vandebosch began the race with a significant lead, followed by Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel. Laurens Sweeck temporarily moved into the lead, but van der Poel eventually took control of the race with a successful attack.

Wout van Aert sensed van der Poel getting away and tagged along. Sweeck was just behind the duo. Heavy rain started making the course more slippery. Van Aert pushed ahead and successfully created a 10-second gap.

By the next lap, the gap increased to over 1 minute. Wout van Aert crossed the finish line a minute ahead of his competitors and celebrated his first victory of the year. Mathieu van der Poel finished second. Laurens Sweeck took the bronze.
