Kyle Murphy is set to leave Human Powered Health after five years of partnership. The US road champion will compete for the continental team L39ION of Los Angeles in 2023.
The pro cycling career of Murphy began with Rally Cycling, the predecessor to Human Powered Health. Two stages of the Tour of Portugal were won by him in 2021; this season, he became United States national champion.“So many big thoughts about this move, beyond excited to reconnect with American fans, teams, races, community,” Murphy wrote on Instagram.
Justin and Cory Williams in 2019 established L39ION. The team dominated in domestic tracks since it’s birth. “To be more present and active in said spaces. To spend more time with my family here and to bring them to more races. To be part of the team that Cory and Justin have labored to create. I am over the moon. I have been craving a change like this in my life and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity. Bless up!! Been an amazing journey on HPH but damn I am ready for this next adventure,” concluded Murphy.
