Arkéa Samsic get "strong reinforcement" for the mountains as they sign Cristián Rodríguez

Cristián Rodríguez has signed with Arkéa-Samsic. The team hopes to increase their climbing capabilities with the addition of Rodriguez.

The Spaniard is looking forward to working with the French formation and improving his performance. “I have seen the way the riders of the Arkéa-Samsic team race for two seasons now. It is a training in constant progress year after year. These parameters were decisive in my choice to join Arkéa-Samsic from January 1, 2023. I also think that it is a team that will allow me to progress on an individual level. I am a climber, I like races with a difficult finish, but it is certain that the competitions which have my preference are those which offer mountainous terrain,” said Rodríguez.

Emmanuel Hubert, Arkéa-Samsic's team manager, has high expectations from the Spaniard. “Cristián has all the characteristics of a climber capable of expressing himself on difficult one-day races, hilly week-long events or in the mountains on the Grand Tours. He is still a young rider, 27 years old, who has a good margin of progress ahead of him. Cristián Rodríguez is a strong reinforcement within our mountain division,” concluded Hubert.
