Two-for-two at the Tour of Turkey for Jasper Philipsen as race leader handles hilly sprint

Stage 2 pf the Tour of Turkey was a difficult day on the bike but the outcome was virtually the same. Jasper Philipsen has taken the second stage victory of the week and has extended his race lead.

The hilly stage was a difficult one for the sprinters and the racing made it even harder. It was a tough day on the bike, with the day's breakaway reeled in with 13 kilometers to go, but a few attacks then in the final kilometers which featured a few hilltops.

Finn Fisher-Black tested the waters with 5 kilometers to go, a few other riders tried the same but the responses were ready and no-one was being let off the leash in the group.

Eventually a group sprint was to take place. The uphill drag to the line made it quite difficult, but the race leader Jasper Philipsen is well suited to these efforts and soared onto his second win in two days, outsprinting Cees Bol.
