Caleb Ewan is prepared to take on the elite cyclists at the Tour Down Under. The Australian national road race marked the start of his racing season.
The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and Tour Down Under will keep him occupied during the opening month of the season, with the UAE Tour taking place in the following month, where he will face off against other sprinters.
The Australian cyclist is aiming to take the victory at Milano - Sanremo this year, but will not be participating in Paris-Nice as his team has chosen to race with another sprinter, Arnaud De Lie.
The rider has several other important classic races on his schedule, such as the Classic Brugge-De Panne, Gent-Wevelgem, Dwars door Vlaanderen and the Scheldeprijs. However, his real challenge will be the Tour de France in July.
