Tadej Pogacar and Tim Wellens teamed up successfully early in the year and seemed to be a good match. The duo is heading to the Tour de France together, and will have a training camp together as both return to the bike from their injuries.
Whilst Pogacar only returned to the road itself a few days ago, this Monday was the first day Wellens was allowed to go out on the road after suffering a broken collarbone during the Tour of Flanders' massive crash. The duo are both on a tight schedule, but by chance happen to recover at roughly the same time and will both head to Sierra Nevada on an altitude camp, after most of the Tour's block has completed the main camp before the Dauphiné and Suisse.
The Belgian rider, like Pogacar, is not expected to race the Tour de France but his participation is not assured, he will need to prove his form in the upcoming weeks. The team is set to recon some mountain stages of the Tour still in the weeks leading up to the Grand Depart, both are expected to be there.
