Starting on the 4th of June, the Critérium du Dauphiné is just a matter of days away. As such, teams are beginning to make an announcement regarding their lineup with the latest of these being
Soudal - Quick-Step.
Leading 'the Wolfpack' will be two-time stage winner and former King of the Mountains at the race,
Julian Alaphilippe. In a strong lineup, the likes of French Champion
Florian Sénéchal, Tour of Oman runner-up
Mauri Vansevenant, Tour de Romandie stage winner,
Ethan Vernon, 24-year-old Italian
Andrea Bagioli, former Vuelta a Espana stage winner Remi Cavagna and the experienced
Dries Devenyns will all alongside Alaphilippe.
“Most of the riders start their preparation towards the Tour de France after the altitude training camp we just had. Julian is back for the first time since the Classics, while Mauri is returning from injury," Soudal - Quick-Step sports director Wilfried Peeters told his team's official website. "Our biggest goal for next week is to take a stage win, and in Ethan we have a guy who can get over some of the climbs and also be fast in the sprint. Rémi is also motivated for the individual time trial, so we can be confident in our chances of doing a good Dauphiné”
