UCI Rankings Teams Update | XDS Astana are BACK to the provisional World Tour

An unusual week in the UCI Rankings, as over the past 7 days the World Tour peloton is almost fully focused on the Giro d'Italia, but most of the points have been scored throughout some of the French classics. Now finally, XDS Astana Team has completed the overtake and is provisionally back in the World Tour level after overtaking Team Picnic PostNL.
You can check the previous update. The overtake has been completed as over the past week Astana scored 201 points and Picnic has scored 55. The Kazakh team is now a few points ahead of Picnic and around only 600 points away from Cofidis. The French and Dutch teams will likely be the ones battling for this last sport - unless Uno-X Mobility can launch another offensive and close down 1300-point gap on Picnic PostNL.

There's no need to come out and defend Jonas (and thus indirectly diminish the others) because no one attacks him. - If he is going to the Tour, then he should abandon, get some rest, do some altitude training and maybe race the Dauphine before the Tour. Racing is always the best training but the last week of this Giro is going to be hell, no need to take your body down a peg or two when you need some rest already.awp25-05-2025
- Isaac del Toro is looking more and more like a potential Giro champion as this race goes on. You can see his confidence growing day by day, and he looked very strong and alert during today's stage, which I'm sure that Juan Ayuso is not enjoying it at all.

Otherwise, he'll be crushed under expectation like Wout did earlier in the spring. I kind of enjoy current generation of cyclists because they know what is important outside of cycling.
