After impressing at the Giro d'Italia, Israel - Premier Tech backed it up in style at the Tour de France and the team owner Sylvan Adams has expressed his delight at what he calls the team's best ever performance at the race.
“I am proud of the best team we have ever sent. I promise that in the next tour, we will be even stronger!” Adams exclaimed in quotes collected by the Jerusalem Post. “This was our best performance ever in the Tour, especially in the greatest race in the world. We won a massive stage and were the most aggressive team here.”
The peak of their performance at the Tour de France was most definitely Michael Woods' victory atop the historic climb of the Puy de Dôme on stage 9 in a stunning ride from the Canadian rider.
“This victory was the defining moment in my career, but I’m already looking ahead and aiming to win in the Giro d’Italia and complete a series of victories in all the Grand Tours,” Woods added. “It was truly an excellent Tour for us.”
