Hollywood actor Ben Stiller pays tribute to Jonas Vingegaard: "Just so cool that a visit to the elderly is what the Tour de France champion makes his priority"

Jonas Vingegaard's exploits in the 2023 Tour de France understandably saw the Dane gain plenty of plaudits. It has been his actions off the bike that Hollywood actor Ben Stiller has been impressed by though, taking to Twitter to laud praise on the Jumbo-Visma leader.

"I think this is just so cool that a visit to the elderly is what the Tour de France champion makes his priority," writes Stiller, famous for movies such as Night at the Museum, Zoolander, Meet the Fockers and Tropic Thunder, on his official Twitter account. "I’ve never seen that in any other sport. Respect to Jonas Vingegaard."

Vingegaard visits a care home for the elderly on Thursday, July 27th, in his hometown of Glyngore with sources close the 26-year-old telling Belgian journalist Jonas Creteur that "It's his highest priority to pay a visit there, because he knows that it means something to the elderly, and it means something to him."

Just days after winning the 2023 Tour de France, Vingegaard has been busy on his rounds, visiting Wout van Aert and his new baby boy, with a celebration in Copenhagen to take place on Wednesday.
