The 32-year-old Argentine, Eduardo Sepulveda rolled back the years on stage 2 of the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, taking the stage win and securing a shock overall victory at the race.
"I almost can't believe it to win the stage and the general classification," the delighted Lotto Dstny rider said post-race. "It was a really hard race and in the final 30 kilometres, there were lots of attacks. I guess I was maybe a bit lucky that I went on the right moment and had a good breakaway companion with Castrillo."

Even once Sepulveda had formed the breakaway and got a gap over his main chasers, the Argentine still didn't believe the victory was to be his. "Although we worked together well, I thought the group would still catch us. But in the end it was enough and to win the stage and GC is just fantastic."
