In the world of cycling, the Grand Tours are the holy grail of challenges. Completing the Giro d'Italia, the Vuelta a España and the Tour de France in the same year is a feat that seems increasingly difficult given the increase in the average level and number of days of the races;

Giro d'Italia Donne, the Women's Tour of Spain and the Women's Tour de France have had at least 7 stages this season, which has meant that, unlike in the past, far fewer cyclists have decided to race them all. Among these 15, only two women, Annemiek van Vleuten and Juliette Labous, have managed to finish in the top-10 in each of the GTs, so is it over for women's cycling to race the big three?
