🚨Elmar Reinders set to join BikeExchange next season. Groenewegen was keen on the move.
Team BikeExchange - Jayco have confirmed the renewal of Simon Yates, Dylan Groenewegen and Michael Matthews for the coming years, and now they are making moves on the market to ensure the base of the team is packed - with Elmar Reinders another rider said to be coming in.
The news come from Velonews' Daniel Benson who has stated the Dutch rider will be joining BikeExchange for the coming season, a move largely created due to his contact with compatriot Dylan Groenewegen. The 30-year old currently races at Continental level with Riwal Cycling Team, which would make this an incredible step up for Reinders.
Reinders has always established himself as a quality sprinter, fit for the task at leadouts and also time-trials. He recently rode to fifth in the time-trial nationals, after taking wins at the Olympia's Tour, Circuit des Ardennes and Le Tour de Bretagne Cycliste.
Adding to those wins on French territory, he's also won two Dutch classics this year: Visit Friesland Elfsteden Race and the Arno Wallard Memorial. His success of 2022 has brought him to the spotlight and his value became much higher, now with a late debut at World Tour almost confirmed for 2023.
