Tadej Pogacar reportedly has €100 million termination clause set by UAE Team Emirates

UAE Team Emirates have invested heavily in their team and carry out big financial capabilities. That has been shown in several ways, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports as well that Tadej Pogacar has a termination clause of €100 million euros with the team.

Such values are unheard of in pro cycling and more accurately compare to others sports such as football where money is much more available within teams. Pogacar carries a contract until 2027 with the team with what's rumoured to be the highest salary in the peloton - €6 million per season - but the value set on his termination clause is excessively high likely with the goal of discouraging any possibilities of other teams making a move.

Pogacar is only 24 years old but leads the UCI rankings - something which the team seeks in their riders, UCI points - and has won the Tour de France twice, besides having won three different monuments on four occasions, most recently the Tour of Flanders this weekend.

Not only do his results show his worth but the Slovenian has also proven to be one of the most popular riders in the peloton, frequently an outgoing and friendly character, who is equally loved by many fans due to his aggressive style of racing. It is safe to say that if that clause exists not even the likes of INEOS Grenadiers could dream of making a surprise bid on Pogacar.
