EF Education-EasyPost have ended the USA's
national championships in the best way. After a difficult and tactical race, the home team managed to take full advantage of their numbers to get
Sean Quinn in the stars and stripes jersey.
A small group managed to make the difference relatively early in the 212-kilometer long race in Charleston, West Virginia; But ultimately three riders were above he rest and battled for the win whilst filling up the podium.
Time-trial winner
Brandon McNulty wanted to add another title to his palmarès but that proved very difficult as he was joined by EF Education-EasyPost duo of Sean Quinn and
Neilson Powless. Whilst they couldn't make the difference on the road, in a sprint Quinn beat McNulty to take the biggest win of his career.
Reads like good old fashioned racing. Any of the top three would have been good champions. Hopefully they'll be able to hold the wheels of the best riders in Paris and the world championships.
